Introduction:
The highland road journey between Manali & Leh (Ladakh) is the most spectacular one, as you will negotiate, crossing the dizzying heights of Rohtang pass 3980m, Baralacha 4,892 m., Lachulung La 5,065m and Taglang La 5,360m. En route you will pass through the rushing rivers, thick woods, barren rocky deserts, snow clad fierce mountains and charming villages. This road was opened to foreigners only in 1989 and rapidly became a popular route into & out of the Buddhist kingdom of Ladakh. For this long and dramatic journey of 475 km stretch, we have set up a mountain camp at Sarchu, to break & re-charge to this memorable overland drive.

About Camp:
Elevated at 4,253 mts. in the serene beauty of Sarchu ( at the base of Baralacha), mid way between Manali and Leh highway, just over the state territorial line into Himachal Pradesh. The camp is nestled in the lap of mother nature in the high Himalayas and is set amidst the snow clad mountains of the main Himalayan and the Zanskar ranges. And is gifted by bounties of nature and enriched by the highland flora wealth, you may also spot some marmmots and rare birds around. Adventure Camp ensures the guests a cozy & comfortable stay. The camp has large tents, well equipped with folding beds, thick mattresses, pillows and quilts. The bathroom provided with warm and cold water, common toilet. The spacious dinning hall caters to a multi cuisine menu including Chinese, Indian, Continental or Himachali. All our arrangements and services are strictly hygienic and eco-friendly.

Approach:
The camp is 222 km away from Manali, 107 km from Keylong and 253 km from Leh. The Nearest Airport is Kullu, 46 km from Manali and nearest rail head is Chandigarh about 542 km. Transportation (Sumo/ Toyota Qualis/ Gypsy/ Jeep/ Buses etc.) avalible for hire ex Delhi/ Chandigarh/ Manali.
